I just recently purchased these shoes when I saw someone in my bowling center wearing them. I liked the "croc" version of these shoes, but didn't like the color changing version. So I bought the "stealth" version of these shoes. The uppers are a very light stretchable nylon (or whatever material) that is vented, which means your foot feels good wearing them. The T.H.E 9 series is a shoe that the professional bowlers wear, and after wearing them, they are very comfortable, (I liked the raised heel) and the slide is just right for my game. I don't have a long slide, so the pads that came with the shoe worked just fine. I'm a league bowler, and see some guys wearing different versions of this shoe. I will get some plastic shoe trees and some "sneaker balls" because I will keep them in my bag, and don't want them to either stink, and I want them to keep form since the uppers are very lightweight. The only reason why I am giving them four stars is because when I received the shoes, I only received one shoe cover. I am trying to contact Dexter to rectify the situation, but haven't heard from them. I have some old shoe covers to protect them when I'm off the lanes, or to store them in my bag.Otherwise, I'm satisfied with my purchase, since I like quality shoes, and will pay the premium price for something I will use for a great deal of time. Dexter is a quality brand, and I know they will hold. My SST 8's held up for many years, and I was ready to purchase a new pair, I went with the T.H.E. 9's.Ok, so after bowling 8 games with these I can say a couple of things. If you have a wide foot then I'd order your standard size in normal width. If you're a standard width I'd go a half size down. The s8 that comes standard doesn't slide hardly all for me and I'm about 185 lbs. I'd definitely recommend going with an s10 or higher if you like to glide a bit more like I do. On me the back tends to rub a bit at the heel, but this may be a sizing issue more than a design issue. All in all a good modular shoe that is lightweight and breathes well. I'd buy another pair.Incredibly comfortable and breathe very good. They run very big. I typically wear a size 10.5 shoe. I ordered these in a 9.5 and should have probably ordered a 9.Nice fit, comfortable. Thank you.Weave of meshed outer foot covering makes the shoe cooler for perspirating feet. Naturally had to purchase additional slide soles though. For the price of 8's & 9's one would wish that you could be able to order the sole you like before ordering. Note, my 8's slide sole of shoe cracked in less than 4 years of wear. Now have 5 replaceable slide sole for shoe.Great shoes lightweight. I have had many compliments which is kind of weird for bowling shoes but these are amazing. One small thing these tend to run maybe a half over true also the eyelets in the shoes for the laces look a little weak up top but we will see how they hold up so far so good. The slide sole that came on them an s7 or s8 was a little sticky for me but the soles from my storm sp3s fit perfect and swapped to an s10.Great looking shoe. Wanted something that breathed better than the last pair. Great that they utilize the same pads of the original. But, keeps my feet from sweating during those hot months. Size was a little larger than expected. These are very comfortable! I have always wanted a pair of these bowling shoes!! Great value for your money! They fit my feet perfectly!!
